9 Tips to Improve Google AdSense

9 Tips to Improve Google AdSense

You're the kind of person who doesn't just accept "good enough" in fact, your ears tremble, a little, if someone within a 10-mile radius mentions the word "optimal." We know, it's good. You are in a safe place with like-minded people now if you also know your way around the Google AdSense panel then this is another one for you.

1. Repair invalid traffic

Since 2015, Google has started to include a line in the monthly revenue report. The "Invalid Traffic - AdSense Content" line reduces your revenue. Sometimes it is a small amount and sometimes it can be a big part of your income stream.

If you continue to get invalid traffic, you will always lose money. If there are too many, your account may be suspended. Even if you don't know where these invalid clicks come from.

What can you do?

More content! Google will punish you if your ads are more on your page than the content. Make sure to balance the two because this can also affect your audience of returning users.

Keep an eye on social media traffic - AdSense just doesn't like it. Google prefers viewers who come from the search engine (g, I wonder why) or pages that have reached through it. They especially hate paid traffic that doesn't drive through the platform where it comes from (such as paid messages in huge Facebook groups or retweets driven by bots).

Last but not least - contact Google. If you do nothing wrong, the traffic you get is real, legitimate, and really clicking? You can be bombed by clicking on your competitors.

2. Class ban

Blocking or unlocking categories in AdSense can have an impact on revenues. What impact and how? It's a little more complicated.

Some categories have higher consumer price rates, while others have higher click rates. The main question is - how can you maximize MRR with the blocking/unlocking category?

Check the reports under "Allow Ads and Block" to check which categories are underperforming. The categories that have a lot of impressions, but the low incomes are the ones you should try to block, at least temporarily.

It's true that it will reduce competition for your ad slots, but it will allow you to get to the right ads and advertisers.

3. Smart hacking price for top cpcs

Many publishers seem fossilized by Google's smart pricing algorithm AdSense. This algorithm tries to ensure that advertisers get their monetary value when advertising on the publishers' network.

So make Google's smart prices work for you rather than against you. Block unprofitable categories. Place ads in places where you can't click by mistake and do your best to bring traffic that will be converted. Not just cheap views that don't turn into customers.

But how do I know which traffic will be converted?

You must "reverse the engineering" of the customer's classic journey and provide content that can be used as part of this trip.

Think about how to integrate your websites into a customer's journey and tailor your content to suit.

4. Custom channels

To attract savvy advertisers and perform a track ad unit, you want to use custom channels, if not again.

Custom channels allow you to create individual ad placement groups that advertisers can directly target. By giving this power to advertisers, you increase competition for advertising space.

If you don't have a custom channel configuration in your AdSense account yet, we have a guide to guide you. If you're not sure it's worth the investment time - you still want to read this guide. This may convince you to create these custom channels in your AdSense account.

5. Anchor and ads in circulation

Every website and novice money knows - above the barn is gold. That's why.

Overpriced advertising is often one of the first things a visitor sees when it lands on your page. The ads are made to be attractive. But the viewer didn't come to your page to watch the ads, and you can't forget it.

How can you solve this problem?

Link (also known as hovering, sticky floating) ads and streaming ads. The right mix of ads that follow users as you scroll, and running ads that give them "cash points" in content is the way to increase MRPs.

6. Improve the size

If you have a dollar every time someone has told you that it is very important for you to optimize the mobile phone? You probably won't even need to monetize the content anymore. Or work. Never. But that is not exactly what we are saying here.

You can create different layouts for different devices, depending on the theme of your website or its setting. Responsive pages would always put ads in the wrong places, so you want to get higher for maximum mobile revenue.

So what you can do instead is hide ads that bring less performance on a mobile phone when your device is a tablet or smartphone. Then add a mobile-only ad unit that only appears on mobile devices and is optimized for mobile planning.

7. Advanced Target Geographic

Some countries and local authorities have higher prices than others. For example, the United Kingdom, the United States, Canada, and Australia have much higher consumer prices than Africa or India.

If you have a blog in Italian or German - you can add an English section for higher CPC views. You will need to search for high-priced outlets in your area.

Assuming your content site is in English, you will want to do what you can to bring traffic from the countries that pay the most. This means that your efforts to attract an audience should be concentrated there and appeal to the interests of the people of the region.

How do you check which countries pay the most? Check the countries in your performance reports on AdSense. And bring more locality tours with the most expensive CPC you can see.

8. Use the asynchronous AdSense code

In 2015, Google introduced an asynchronous advertising code to help publishers reduce the time they load their pages using their ad units.

9. Improvement

Our last advice is to always be tested. In our experience in monetizing different outlets, if there is an improvement to be removed, it is always to be tested. In fact, we went further and created an environmental testing system to make the entire AdSense CTR improvement process easy and fast.
